Personally, my idea for what's next involved a device that would alert people when there is a car or another scooter/motorcycle close behind them. When I talked to a few people that currently lie in my existing market, they all brought up a lot of really good ideas. None of my existing customers mentioned anything about a new type of device, but they gave me a lot of good suggestions as to how to make my current product more appealing.
First, one of my customers suggested that if the helmets were able to be delivered, that would make him very likely to buy the helmet. Also, another customer suggested that I provide a warranty in case the helmet breaks or is lost. I think that this would be a really great idea and a good way of building customer loyalty. I could provide my customers with a one-year warranty if the helmet is broken or stolen off the lock, and it would only be able to be used once. Overall, I think I got a lot of really great feedback.
New Market:
When I interviewed customers for my new market, I learned that it really might be difficult to influence them to purchase my products. For my new market, I targeted people who do not own a scooter or a bike. When I interviewed a few people, I simply asked if why they did not own a scooter/bike and if there was anything I could do to influence them to buy one of my helmets. Also, I asked them if whether or not my helmets would make them more likely to want to purchase a scooter or bike.
The customers I interviewed gave me a lot of really great feedback. I did not expect anyone to mention to price of the helmets because I did not mention the price when describing my helmets. Also, I was surprised when one of these customers also mentioned the possibility of wanting the helmets to be able to be delivered when ordered. My original idea was for customers to be able to design them online and pick them up in the store. I did not think that anyone would want them to be delivered. Finally, I did not think about customers being unhappy whenever the helmet messes up their hair. One of my interviewees mentioned that this was an annoyance and did not like helmets for that reason. Overall, I do not think this market is as attractive as my existing market because I think too many adjustments would have to made in order to be appealing.
Wallace,
ReplyDeleteI like that you are focusing on safety. One of the most honorable things one could do is to worry about the well being of others.
Accidents are prevalent in our society and I think that we should address these issues more in depth.
I think this is a great idea because anything dealing with safety is a necessity nowadays. I think it is funny that one of the people you interviewed said that they don’t like wearing helmets because it messes up their hair because that is also why I don’t like wearing them either. That’s a near impossible problem to fix and the importance of wearing a helmet far surpasses that. Good job.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I think is a great idea, and you a creating a product that is focusing on the welfare of the consumer, which is something that is appreciated in today's market.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that the feedback you received from the interviews was very product for your concept.
Hey, Wallace. I think your product could could keep a lot of people more safe while riding a scooter. For now I would say to focus on people who have scooters and try not to make people buy a scooter unless your company will also be selling scooters as well. My idea is a prodct like yours but mine deals with indoor plants at the moment, instead.
